The nose plays a vital role in the overall appearance of the face; acting as the anchor and central feature of the face. When a person is unhappy with the shape of their nose, such as a crooked nose or nose bump, it can affect their self esteem greatly as it cannot be hidden and is always on full display. An aesthetically pleasing nose can even have positive judgement from another person, leaving someone who is unhappy with their nose feeling self conscious.
Surgical Rhinoplasty
Traditionally, the only option available was surgery to physically break the nose or remove bone tissue, leaving the patient with facial swelling and discomfort for up to 6 months after. This would also require a patient to be placed under a general anaesthetic, which carries additional risk in itself.
Non Surgical Alternative - Nose Shaping Belotero®
The non-surgical treatment option cannot decrease the size of a nose, however with the use of Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler, crooked and bumpy noses can be smoothed and straightened. This non invasive procedure takes around 30 minutes to complete with very little swelling or bruising. The other advantage over surgery is that, should you have post treatment dissatisfaction, this can be dissolved and corrected easily. It also helps to see what alterations might look like before committing to surgery.
